Subject: [ild-exe] LoI representative meeting on Sep. 23.

Dear colleagues,

 this is a short memo on the LOI representative meeting
held on Sep.23.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
-CLIC workshop in October at CERN
      Physics and Detector session is planned in the workshop.
    ILC-CLIC common issues will be also discussed there.
    It will include detector engineering issue.

-PAC meeting at Paris
        Participation of one person from each LOI group is
      desired (not for presentation).  The name of the
      participant should be notified to the RD by September 29th
      in order to get permission to enter the meeting place.

-Common task groups
          Some members are not fixed yet.
          Ron Lipton is nominated by three regional VTX contacts
       (M.Winter, Y.Sugimoto, R.Lipton) as a representative of
       VTX community to the detector R&D common task group.
       He will do the job  at least until LCWS2008, where VTX community
       will hold a meeting and discuss on this issue.

-Budget issue
           If each group needs some help   of the RD to get funding,
      please let the RD know it. The RD  is ready to talk to the 
funding agencies.
           DOE and NSF made presentations at SiD workshop.

-IDAG process
          Harry pointed out the IDAG process should be as quick as possible
      in order to make use of the IDAG report as a support to budget
      requests.
      All three groups agreed on it, and the RD will talk to the IDAG chair
      to finish the evaluation process quickly, maybe by September or 
October 2009.

-Next LOI rep. meeting
           October 27, 5am GMT.  (Just before ICFA seminar at SLAC)
